Way back in June of 2016 Karen and I took a road trip to discover the covered bridges of Oregon. It was the furthest south on I-5 we'd traveled since moving to Oregon. What a fun adventure full of history and wonder.
Enjoy these pictures. I'd been fascinated by the Galapagos since I was a boy dipping matches for uncle Jonny, who would be departing for the Galapagos on a sailboat long before eco-tourism made getting there easy.
I was inspired as a youth by the photography manipulations of Jerry Uelsmann, the stage set by Joel-Peter Witkin, the surrealist vision of Man-Ray and photography of the bizarre.
