My lovely sister and her family live in Petersburg, Alaska where I had the great privilege of being their guest for a week of adventuring in 2019. We took many beautiful hikes in the unspoiled wilderness on Mitkof Island, a beautiful land that needs protecting for future generations. The high light of my travels was seeing them in their environment and getting to know this small Alaskan town. Our big adventure was a day trip on their old wooden fishing tender the St. Lazaria, we motored down the inside passage to a safe distance for the old girl and set out in a metal dinghy for a closer look at icebergs and the glacier itself. Enjoy my incredible pictures.
