We have had an excellent year for owls and squirrels this season.
Over the past decade and a half we have had our fair share of critters born in the yard. The year when there where three sets of twin fawns frolicking in the yard was especially hard on the landscaping, curios little mouths.
This spring we had a pair of owlets, fluffy little things. Their parents hoo hoo hooooing in the forest has continued and the chorus has increased as the babies grew and now hunt in the yard. On the smaller side we have a family of six super cute baby Douglas Squirrels. Now, they and their folks are busy getting ready for winter and learning the danger of owls over their shoulders. Here are a few shots the little posers have allowed me to take. Enjoy.
